Miracles for Dogs with Lasers and Electromagnetic Field Stim (PEMF)

Can Lasers and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Stim [PEMF] do miracles on dogs? In my experience they have consistently proven to transform animals. I have worked with cats, dogs, and dairy cows with Acupuncture and they responded positively. Now recently I have treated three dogs with PEMF and Laser only, with amazing results.

The most dramatic change occurred in a 9 yr. old, fifty-pound Staffordshire Pitbull named Bleu, who had suddenly developed paralysis in his hind legs due to a lesion on his spine revealed by a veterinary MRI. For almost two months he dragged his bottom behind him until he was bloody. The Veterinarian offered expensive diagnostic tests but had no solution for Bleu’s condition. He advised putting him down. But in five visits with me, Bleu was walking. The first visit he immediately improved his incontinence…; after visit #2 he stood up; fourth visit had him walking albeit wobbly, and fifth visit he was on his way. Now the report is that he is running and back to his old self. The short video shows his progress through the treatments.

Rusty, a large 12 yr. old Rotweiler-Golden Retriever, was diagnosed with a tumor in his intestine. He became lethargic, refused to eat and was plagued with vomiting and diarrhea. With every treatment he continues to keep things down better and regain his appetite and his spirit. Bear, a 12 yr. old Huskie-Chow, was becoming an old dog with severe arthritis and old dog habits–stiff and lethargic. Immediately after each of his three treatments so far he seems to regain more and more of his movement and his spunky, interactive personality.

The electromagnetic field stimulator reestablishes the animals’ own electromagnetic fields exactly as it does for human beings. Just as an MRI uses magnetic resonance to diagnose, so the same magnetic properties can apply to curative treatment. And the laser has the ability to penetrate the skin to reorganize the normal functioning of the organism. The treatments are comfortable and speedy so that animals are willing patients for repeated treatments. And their positive response cannot be due to mind over matter! There is no placebo effect here. Thy are not expecting anything. They simply get better! Please use the comment button and share your feedback and responses with me and my readers.

Veterans PTSD Treatment

Veterans Acupuncture for Veterans with PTSD: How can we make acupuncture and meditation more available to our military Veterans? If they are returning with severe trauma and pain, we need to address this problem before it worsens.

As a pioneer acupuncturist in this country, I have aided many Veterans suffering from PTSD through my multi-pronged Veterans PTSD Project: a therapy program for releasing deep-seated anxiety and depression. It includes:

  • Acupuncture treatment for physical and emotional pain.
  • Deep-state endorphin release achieved through herbs and pharmaceuticals, specialized massage, breathing techniques, verbal programming, and other modalities.
  • The powerful Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Stimulator that can regenerate cell tissue anywhere in the brain or body, FDA approved for depression.
  • My  Cellular Meditation VETERANS STRESS RELIEF audio CDs. Two STRESS RELIEF recorded segments are available for listening for free on this blog site www.BrainbodyBliss.com.

Acupuncture or massage point combinations can open up blocked neural centers, waking up the right bio-electrical frequencies.  This can help “teach” traumatized cells how to “unlearn” states of fear and demoralization.  It helps remove physical imbalances such as inflammation, toxicity, pain, brain chemistry imbalance, physical injuries and overall systems blockage.  This treatment affects these issues by helping to break up intracellular energy trauma and revitalize subcellular metabolism.  This impacts the mental and emotional systems as well.

Acupuncture and the Stress Release CDs both address the entire body’s natural, feel-good neuro-hormones to regenerate the proper brain-body connections.  This restores a state of wellbeing and good sleep.

I have lectured twice at the Combat Stress Conference, explaining the science behind the CDs and treatment therapies.  Many Veterans groups are requesting help.  Singer/songwriter Graham Nash has generously contributed, but much more is needed to fill this critical need.  Drug therapy alone does not always go deep enough and often wears off or causes side effects.

We are working toward the opening of a clinical program for Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder located near the West L.A. V.A.  This will help Vets transition to civilian life, helping to eliminate both painful memories and painful conditions.

Cellular Meditation is the full-body form of meditation—made easy. It is about getting endorphins, our own feel-good chemicals into ALL THE CELLS OF THE BODY—by freeing them up, and sensing them from inside.  It is the ‘Feel Good’ form of meditation, easier to do than other meditation practices, while also achieving deeper results.  A version of the double CDs is also available for the general public and the Veterans’ families.

Studies have shown that relaxing meditation techniques increase the feel-good neuro-transmitters that counter mood disorders, such as serotonin, dopamine, and GABA; and beneficial hormones such as DHEA, HGH (human growth hormone), and melatonin for anti-aging and good sleep. Meditation also reduces harmful cortisol produced by stress.

Many Veterans and civilians have benefited from the treatments and these CDs. Our non-profit Earth Harmony Foundation.org receives tax deductible donations from those who want to help our returning soldiers by funding their distribution to many veterans organizations who have requested these CDs.

Acupuncture/Massage: Help for Degenerative Knees

How does one know what to do with a bum knee? What’s going on underneath that hard shell?? Is surgery the only answer? In The Journal of Family Practice, the March 2009 issue features an article entitled, “Arthroscopic surgery for knee osteoarthritis? Just say no.” A 2002 study had shown arthroscopic surgery to be of no benefit for moderate to severe osteo-arthritis, but it was so contrary to current practice that it was ignored. Now a recent two-year study showed the same outcome. Only patients with large meniscal tears might benefit from surgery.

What they do recommend is Acetaminophen, NSAIDS, Glucosamine and Chondroitin, physical therapy, regular exercise, and ACUPUNCTURE. (See the reference article: “Effectiveness of Acupuncture as adjunctive therapy in osteoarthritis of the knee: a randomized, controlled trial, by B.M. Berman, L. Lao, P. Langenberg, et al. Ann Intern Med. 2004; 141: 901-910.)

Inflammation in the knees is one of the most common conditions these days, as all joggers and tennis players can agree. Acupuncture and massage are unique in their ability to break up the excessive adhesions and scarred, fibrous tissue that build up–alone or around an injury. These masses cause a gluing, shortening and thickening effect (called thixotropy) in muscles, tendons and ligaments–which reduces the full range of motion and inhibits healing. Acupuncture and body work help break this up and restore resilience and flexibility to this connective tissue.  This can reverse the build up toward worsening degeneration.
Tendons are made up of hair-like tissue strands that become tangled–so they collect ‘debris’-–fluids, crystalized salts–-stuff that disrupts the tendon’s normal function. Often you can feel the little bumps in the normally smooth tissue. When this is eliminated, then the reconditioned tendons can release the pressure on attached muscles.Sore or injured knees respond well to acupuncture. There are two openings under the patella, known as “the eyes of the knees” where needles can be painlessly inserted. These hair-thin steel wires act as antennae for realigning the electrical charge in the acidified, inflamed tissue. Gentle heat can be conducted down the shaft of the needle deep into the joint. This does more than just feel good and alleviate pain; it heals by stimulating  blood and lymph circulation-–to deliver nutrients and oxygen to the injured or degenerated focal point, and then carry away toxins and old blood cells.
The Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Stimulator [PEMF] can work with or without acupuncture to regenerate tissue, remove inflammatory fluids (often noticeable in minutes), and re-establish the EM field around the knee.
Sometimes ligaments are torn irreparably and surgery is the magic answer. And happy campers are out playing tennis and golf again. For others, the results are less rosey. Even when successful, a new knee only lasts 10 to 15 years, so often we are able to delay surgery until absolutely necessary with these modalities. And surgery always disrupts at least some of the electrical lines that run through there: the meridians of the stomach, pancreas, kidney, bladder, liver and gall bladder which all run down the leg.So luckily, many cases can be fixed naturally and for the long run without invasive surgery.  This enables the crucial knee joints to continue to carry us around so that we can keep the rest of the body happy, in shape, and on the move!

Acupuncture and PEMF for Weight Loss

When our body gets sluggish, gains weight, and loses its ability to transform calories into usable power, Acupuncture can enhance metabolism to burn more fat. It also reduces appetite, detoxifies the digestive system, reduces cravings and addictions, and improves circulation and energy.

Research  supports the use of Acupuncture for weight loss:A 2003 study published in The Journal of Medical Acupuncture found that participants receiving acupuncture lost more than three times more weight than the control group.

In a study conducted by the University of Adelaide in Australia in 1998, 95 percent of the participants receiving electro-stimulation on acupuncture points reported appetite suppression. The results showed that the acupuncture group was more likely to experience a reduced appetite and to lose weight than the control group.

An imbalance in the pancreas and the liver leads to fatigue, slow metabolism, water retention, loose stool, and a feeling of heaviness and the “triggers” that lead to cravings and compulsive eating.

Due to emotional stress.
In Chinese medicine each major organ has it own related emotion. Excessive grief damages the lungs, excessive worry–the liver, obsessive thinking and over eating damages the spleen, and excessive fear damages the kidneys. When a patient has extended depression, anxiety or other emotional stress, this damages the spirits and eventually destroys the balanced relationships of the five major organ system. The emotional obstruction results in overeating from stress and further disables the transformation and transportation of body and food essence into usable energy. Then the person feels sluggish and obesity occurs. Meditation can support the acupuncture treatments.

From a Western perspective, acupuncture and TCM have been shown to have an effect on the function of the nervous, endocrine, and digestive systems, food cravings, and metabolism. All of which can help to energize the body, maximize the absorption of nutrients, regulate elimination, control overeating, suppress the appetite, and reduce anxiety.

Ear Points  are a micro-system of points relating to all major organs and body parts that particularly affect brain chemistry.

Most patients report a marked decline in appetite and cravings with acupuncture alone but herbs, healing foods, and exercises can definitely enhance the efficacy of the treatments. For treatment or more information, contact me at drKathleen@brainbodybliss.com.

Graham Nash’s Gift to Veterans: Gallery Show Opening Night

Last night Graham Nash was superb at his opening at Gallery 169. It was the largest crowd they had ever had–just off the beach at PCH and Channel Road in Santa Monica.  Graham’s photographic assemblages were sometimes beautiful,  sometimes disturbing. They have a strong political content which reflects Graham’s concern about our crazy planet.  And his desire for solutions as reflected in his interest in my Veterans’ Stress Release CDs which will benefit from the proceeds of his art show.

One of the goals of these Cellular Meditation Stress Release CDs  is to melt the interior walls of the automatic brain.  My repetitive brain function is stuck in certain patterns, often based on fears of various intensities.  Many of these fear patterns are lifelong, from childhood.  As I outgrew some, I grew into new ones, so the pattern of living in a fear dynamic was set.  Some fears were attached to my youth; now new ones are connected to getting old! Worries, agendas, concerns, that become so habitual, they become familiar sign posts that represent ME, or my little prison that I have become attached to.

Veterans’ Stress Release CDs cover many of these issues and pull me into a joyful NOW. They get me used to just being present and learning to see joy around me instead of fear.  Even listening to them in the car affects my conscious brain, while listening to them in a dark room, sitting or lying down takes me deeper on an excursion of this whole body full of brains… More anon…
